Recent inspection report completed
- Inspect sheaves in boom for rotation. All sheaves spin free.
- Monitor lower gantry sheaves
during boom down and boom up - lower sheave pack rotates on gantry shaft smoothly (do not suspect galling of
shaft and links). - Inspect boom pins for severe damage from assembly / disassembly - no evidence of damaged
picture frames on boom (pins would show evidence of severe pounding ). - Inspect replaced lacing in boom top picture frame (common damage from weight ball damaging lacings), replacement lacing appears to be in acceptance of F1316.
- Inspection of boom inserts in laydown area. Some inserts appear to have minimal use
(inserts with rope guard roller - not used). Upper point not installed on machine, appears to be in very good condition. - Engine started immediately (machine is not used on a daily basis).
- Inspect crawlers and crawler pad - pins. No excessive wear on pins or pads, crawlers do not seem to be loose.
- Observe machine function operation, not able to use rear drum (rope is tied off), but all other functions seem to operate normally and smoothly.
- Inspect cab, operator seat is in excellent condition.
- All glass is in good condition.
- LMI screen has good color, and no faults.
- Cluster gauge has no faults and works well.
- Control levers are smooth, both throttles are working as designed.
- Swing functions work well. Inching switches and speed pots are working as designed.
- No evidence of rodents (no smell, no evidence of chewing foam, etc).
- Inspect compartment with drum motors, no evidence of leaks (minor seeping, built up from many hours of use and no cleaning - but no running fluid).
- Inspect engine compartment, no leaks found - oil coolant, or fuel.
- Evidence of possible spills in adding fluids in the past (without cleaning the engine compartment). Customer does not do sampling of fluids, and i suspect hydraulic fluid is original.
- Evidence of fluid seeping on right front corner of carbody (mostly on the top of the
jack support). - Measure drum cables (I only had regular digital calibers - not wire rope calipers )... Boom hoist =
20.1 mm x 20.2 mm; Front drum = 25.7 mm x 25.9 mm; Rear drum = 26.9 mm x 26.7 mm. Both front drum and rear drum have been cut off (not factory supplied end). - Uninstalled boom onsite - * noticed
- Boom stop assembly collars and pins are missing - used for cwt installation in self assembly
mode.
